Design services -- Many professional printing companies not only print brochures, flyers, posters, letterhead and business cards, they design them for you as well. When you factor in that these design services are often included in the printing costs, you will often end up with professional printed pieces for a fraction of what it would cost if you had to pay a designer as well.
High-quality products -- While you can, of course, print your own flyers, brochures and letterhead, unless you are highly skilled in printing, they will never look the same as the high-quality products a professional printing company can create.
If you are using them to market your business, or to woo new clients, the higher quality products you do have, the better for your business overall.
Speedy printing -- Even if you have an expensive desktop printer, it will still not be able to print the vast numbers of printed pieces the machinery at a professional printing company can print. If you need printed pieces created quickly, your choices then will usually be to stay up all night, or to pay a professional printing company to do them for you.
When you also consider a company will make less mistakes and, if you are mailing the finished products, they can mail them for you as well, it really does not make sense to print them yourself.
